Mirzapur The Movie Teaser: Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal & Divyenndu Return For Greater Violence

Mirzapur The Movie Teaser dropped

Teaser of the much-anticipated Mirzapur The Movie just dropped, and it’s everything fans wanted — loud, violent, and full of attitude. Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, the film brings Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Divyenndu back to the big screen this September. The teaser is short, under two and a half minutes, but it packs a punch and gives a good idea of what’s coming.

Mirzapur The Movie teaser Breakdown

Right away, we see Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi) holding a flaming pot and saying something about how rare a capable son is. It’s a small moment, but classic Kaleen — calm, threatening, and completely in control. You feel the tension just by watching him.

Guddu (Ali Fazal) looks tougher and more ready for action than ever. He’s shown loading his gun, the kind of shot that tells you he’s not messing around. Munna (Divyenndu) makes a quick, memorable return, too — sitting casually, whistling, and giving people attitude. It’s the same Munna we know: loud, aggressive, and unpredictable.

The teaser also introduces new faces. Jitendra Kumar shows up in a car beside Guddu and drops a line that sets the mood for the film: they’re not just planning to run the empire, they want to build one. That line tells us this story is about bigger fights and more power plays than before.

Visually, the teaser opens up the world. We get sweeping shots of dunes and a convoy of white SUVs crossing the desert — a bigger canvas than the city streets we’re used to. The desert scene gets violent fast: knife fights, a throat being cut, and close-quarter fighting. It’s brutal and raw — Mirzapur doesn’t sugarcoat violence.

Back in the city, Kaleen Bhaiya delivers another chilling line: “If we kill all our subjects, who will we rule over?” It’s a cold reminder that power only works if people remain under it, even if they’re suffering.

There’s also a short comic moment to break the tension. Sheeba Chadha’s Vasudha confronts a new character (Ravi Kishan) about knowing whose mother she is. He smirks and says he’s heard people boast about fathers, but never mothers — a small scene that brings a human touch amid all the menace.

Women in the film get screen time too. Shweta Tripathi (Golu) and Rasika Dugal (Beena) appear in quick shots that suggest they’ll play important parts, not just background roles.

Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, Mirzapur: The Movie is set to hit theatres on September 4. If the teaser is anything to go by, expect more of the show’s trademark chaos — power struggles, brutal fights, and sharp one-liners — scaled up for the cinema. Fans who loved the series will probably find a lot to cheer (and gasp) about.
