Aneet Padda is all set to appear in a powerful new web series, Hunkkaar: The Roar. The upcoming show promises a gripping mix of crime, courtroom drama and social commentary. With a serious subject, an impressive cast and a story rooted in the realities of Indian society, the series has already created curiosity among viewers.
The story follows Meenu Rawat, a teenager who makes a serious accusation against a powerful and respected spiritual leader known as Baapji. What begins as one brave complaint soon becomes a much bigger battle involving influence, faith, power, and justice. The case puts an entire system under the spotlight and raises difficult questions about whom society chooses to believe.
Aneet Padda plays the role of Meenu, a young survivor who refuses to remain silent. Her character is expected to be emotionally intense and layered, showing both vulnerability and courage. After gaining attention with her recent work, Aneet has once again chosen a role that is challenging and socially relevant.
Fatima Sana Shaikh will be seen as ACP Jasleen Singh Soni, the police officer investigating the case. Her character must navigate pressure from powerful people while trying to uncover the truth. Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub reportedly plays a defence lawyer, while Arjun Mathur appears as a journalist connected to the case.
The series also features Raghubir Yadav, Ram Kapoor, Zoya Hussain and Rajesh Sharma in important roles. Raghubir Yadav plays the influential spiritual leader at the centre of the controversy. With such a strong ensemble, Hunkkaar could deliver several memorable performances.
The show explores how crimes can remain hidden when they are protected by social status, public faith, and powerful connections. It is not simply a mystery about finding the truth. It also focuses on the emotional cost of speaking up and the courage required to fight an unfair system.
