Marathi cinema is bringing a thought-provoking story to the big screen with Tujhya Aaila. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sujay S. Dahake, the upcoming drama is set to release in theatres across India on September 25, 2026.
The story follows Avinash, a 12-year-old city boy whose life changes after his father gets transferred to a remote village near Satara. Forced to leave behind his familiar surroundings, Avinash joins a local school and struggles to adjust to his new environment.
Soon, his classmates introduce him to a strange verbal abuse game. The game is led by Khandya, who is known as its strongest player. What begins as casual fun gradually turns into a serious competition when Avinash decides to take part.
As the game continues, it becomes an intense clash of egos. Avinash becomes determined to complete it, but the experience also teaches him that winning is not always about defeating someone else.
The film explores the emotional impact of words that people often use without thinking. Through Avinash’s journey, it questions why people abuse others and why many commonly used slurs are connected to women and mothers. This gives the story a strong social message while keeping the central conflict rooted in the world of children.
Tujhya Aaila promises to be an emotional Marathi drama about childhood, peer pressure, social attitudes, and the hidden pain behind careless language. The film’s unique subject and village-based setting make it different from a routine school drama.
