Resident Evil is back with a fresh reboot, and this time, the story takes audiences into the terrifying streets of Raccoon City. Directed by Zach Cregger, the upcoming sci-fi horror film is inspired by Capcom’s popular video game franchise and is set around the events of Resident Evil 2.
The film follows Bryan, played by Austin Abrams, a medical courier working during a freezing winter night. His job seems simple at first—deliver sensitive medical cargo to Raccoon City General Hospital. However, everything changes when a dangerous viral outbreak turns the city into a nightmare.
As infected monsters begin appearing across Raccoon City, Bryan is forced to fight for his life. He must find a way through the chaos while protecting the delivery he was trusted with. What begins as a routine assignment soon becomes a desperate mission for survival.
Unlike the earlier movie adaptations, this new version is set in a modern era while still running parallel to the storyline of the classic Resident Evil 2 game. Fans can expect a combination of survival horror, action, suspense, and dark atmosphere as Bryan tries to reach the hospital.
