Family expectations, marriage plans, and one unpredictable son-in-law form the heart of Crazy Kalyanam. The Telugu comedy-drama hit theatres on October 16, 2026, following a father whose carefully planned future for his daughter clashes with her own dreams.
Set in Medak, Telangana, the film follows Parvathalu, played by Naresh Vijay Krishna. He wants his younger daughter, Keerthi, to marry into a wealthy family. For him, finding the right groom is also a way to restore his social standing.
Keerthi, however, has different priorities. Played by Anupama Parameswaran, she is focused on her career and wants a say in her future. Things get complicated when she tells her father that she already loves someone else.
Adding to the household’s troubles is Balraj, Parvathalu’s unpredictable son-in-law, played by Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam. His struggle with alcoholism, with sober mornings giving way to drunken nights, adds another layer of conflict to an already messy family situation.
The story brings together romance, comedy and the familiar tension between a parent’s expectations and a daughter’s independence. With marriage at the centre of the drama, everyone seems to have a different idea of what a happy ending should look like.
