Some love stories do not need grand gestures. Sometimes, a few carefully written lines can express what the heart cannot. That is the gentle idea behind Haiku, a new Tamil romantic drama now playing in cinemas.
The story follows a young man who uses poetry and haikus to express his feelings for his partner. What begins as a breezy, quirky romance slowly explores love, memories and emotional baggage. A failed college romance also shapes his bond with a new colleague years later, adding depth to the story.
Released on October 23, 2026, the film is written and directed by Yuvaraj Chinnasamy. It stars Aegan, Sri Devi and Femina George, with Indumathy Manikandan, Shree Tej SK, Bava, Mime Gopi, Adhirchi Arun, Adhiyaman A and Subramaniya Sethu in supporting roles.
The film is also an important one for its leads. Aegan makes his solo-hero debut, while Sri Devi, known for Court, plays a key role. Their chemistry is likely to be one of the main attractions for romantic-drama lovers.
