The story of Vvaan revolves around a folklore-inspired supernatural thriller that also explores the beautiful festival of Chhath Puja. The film follows an urban man who awakens an ancient force hidden inside his ancestral forest, setting a battle between mythology and modernity.
The conflict occurs when he actively defies the ultimate local taboo: entering the village’s forbidden forest after sunset is completely prohibited. But he completely dismisses the locals’ ancient beliefs, warnings, and rituals as silly superstitions. He crosses the boundary into the woods.
His sturdiness accidentally awakens the highly powerful divine goddess whose immense mysticism completely defines natural laws. As an unexplainable and terrifying entity that logic cannot explain, the urban outsider must embrace the village’s forgotten folklore and be a warrior to safeguard his people from ruin.
