Meghna Gulzar is teaming up with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran for a crime thriller ‘Daayra’; the trailer has been dropped, and we must say it looks promising and exciting. Read below to know when and where this movie will debut on OTT.
Daayra is a Hindi-language crime genre film. The makers made the announcement on their social media handle by sharing a video containing BTS footage from the film’s shoot. Kareena and Prithviraj will be playing the role of a cop in it. From the BTS video, the film looks promising in terms of an intense Crime-Thriller drama. The video is a glimpse of scenes that are just the beginning of something to witness on big screens.
Daayra is grounded in realistic, gripping dramatic situations inspired by true occurrences.
It follows DCP Raman Kumar, played by Prithviraj, and DCP Ajooni Kohli, played by Kareena, as a controversial case places them on opposing sides of the same system. As their paths collide, the film unfolds the truth, accountability, and the moral boundaries of justice, leaving it to the viewer to confront the question at its heart. Who is right and who is wrong?
The crime thriller film is slated to release worldwide in theaters on 18 September 2026. The film is the first collaboration featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles.
